After months of hinting from my bf, I decided to bake his favourite lemon cheese cupcakes for him. The last time I baked this for me would be around May I guess. I don't really enjoy baking this is not because it is not delicious, but the home-made lemon curd need me to stand at the stove 30mins! I need to slowly stir the lemon curd on low fire to finally get the thickness I want.
You could also buy lemon curd from Cold Storage if you want to save the trouble. But the home-made lemon curd would be freshier and tastier. Hence my bf & colleagues loves it so much.
My dad loves to collect stamps. I remember when I was a tiny yellow pea, he tried to cultivate this hobby to me. But sadly I'm not really into stamps. I do love the pictures on the stamps, but isn't really into collection.
I was at Post Office today to send registered mail to my Vietnam friends and saw 2013 Collection of Singapore Stamps. There is an early bird promotion price - SGD53. Usual price is SGD62. So I decide to buy for my daddy for his Christmas present.
My bf & I went to Bliss House @ Central few weeks back.
Actually we saw this theme restaurant quite some time ago but only recently I
bought a groupon, then we make an effort to go there.
We reached there around 12pm and the restaurant was fully
booked. I guess there is an event being held, hence more than half of the restaurant
is reserved. Lucky the waitress told us we only have to wait for another
30mins.
When we entered the restaurant, it is beautifully decorated
with garden theme. Love the carriage & fountain near to the mini bridge.
The garden table is decorated with lovely candies and most probably due to the
event?
However the food is a disappointment. The French onion soup
is too salty to my liking. The carbonara & seafood marinara is too bland. I
guess they have used up all the salt for the French onion soup. If the food
would be nicer, then it would be perfect. But I guess most of the theme
restaurant don’t really focus on their foods. Nevertheless, the price is very
reasonable as compared to Fullhouse Signature though.

Sanjusangendo (三十三間堂, Sanjūsangendō) is the popular name for Rengeo-in, a temple in eastern Kyoto which is famous for its 1001 statues of Kannon, the goddess of mercy. The temple was
founded in 1164 and rebuilt a century later after the original structure had
been destroyed in a fire.
The temple hall is with 120 meters Japan's longest wooden structure. The name
Sanjusangendo (literally "33 intervals") derives from the number of intervals
between the building's support columns, a traditional method of measuring the
size of a building. In the center of the main hall sits a large, wooden statue
of a 1000-armed Kannon (Senju Kannon) that is flanked on each side by 500
statues of human sized 1000-armed Kannon standing in ten rows. Together they
make for an awesome sight.
1000-armed Kannon are equipped with 11 heads to better witness the suffering
of humans and with 1000 arms to better help them fight the suffering. Note that
the actual statues have only 42 arms each. Subtract the two regular arms and
multiply by the 25 planes of existence to get the full thousand.
You cannot take any photo inside the temple which contains 1001 statues. But I can tell you it is magnificient. I not sure whether is it me, but when you walk down the corridor, you can sense some of the status are looking at you and rest just closed their eyes. I asked my siblings, they also have the same feelings as me. Inside the temple, there are alot of wooden box which you can pray and make donation to. I donated to most of it, using my little brother's coins. *keke* When you walked till one third of the corridor, you can make some donation (Yen100 if I remember correctly) to light a candle for blessing, which I have done. Around half of the corridor, you can also make some donation (Yen1000) for a mega big white candle for wish & blessing. I find it kinda expensive so I skipped. Alternative you can use make some donation (Yen 300) for a wooden stick and you can write your wish on it. The abbots will burnt the wooden stick on your behalf so that the god can bless you.
After you exit the temple and to the 'reception' area, you can donate Yen100 to get a fortune lot. My siblings & I tried our luck. I got the best lot among all. Like what I always say I'm a blessed child and I'm truly thankful for that.
The scenery outside the temple is also very pretty. With all the yellow, orange & red leaves. Pretty willow trees. Everything here is very serene & peaceful. I could even sit at the beach for many hours, reading and relaxing.
I was browsing at Anna Sui in Narita Airport, and chance upon the Minnie Mouse Makeup kit. I wasn't really interested at first, but when the sales asst showed me the cute minnie mouse lip stick and it is scarlet red. I have to buy it. My bf find red lip stick is kinda suitable for me. The tin is equally beautiful. But when I first show it to my bf. His first question is "Why Minnie Mouse is showing off her butt?" LOL~
This is one of my bf's favourite hangout for breakfast. The atmosphere is nice and cozy. There is not much crowd and serve my bf's all time favourite. As Christmas is coming, the staffs have decorated the cafe in Christmas theme.
For me, I'm not really a big fan for egg. But I'm definitely a big fan for steak. So I have ordered steak and egg for myself. Comes with 3 pancakes :) The steak can't be compared with those steak house like Morton's. But it definitely taste delicious. As for my bf, he ordered his favourite - Egg Benedict. The 2 egg suppose to be on the ham, but I accidentally push the table. So one of the egg slipped down the ham. Now it seems like crying face instead of sunny face.
And last of all, my bf definitely will ordered coffee for his "dessert". I guess he is pretty full that day because he will order coffee and banana crepe.
