REVIEW: Lush Dark Angel

Dark Angels is the nemesis of all blemishes, breakouts and blocked pores. Our soft black scrub was conceived when we combined the exfoliating power of Angels on Bare Skin and the sebum balancing abilities of Coal Face. The result? A velvety cleanser, sprinkled with black sugar and powdered charcoal to gently exfoliate and cleanse away excess oils. We add antimicrobial rhassoul mud and vitamin-rich cold pressed organic avocado oil to soften, moisturize and nourish skin, as well as sandalwood and rosewood oils to soothe.

FEATURES
Ideal for young faces: Dark Angels is beneficial for those experiencing excess oil and blemishes.
Scrub me tender: Gently exfoliates away dead skin for a smoother, brighter looking face.
All part of the fun: We recommend using this one in the shower, as it can get quite messy!

Take some of it from the tub

Mixed it with some water to produce a paste

Apply it on your face, scrub it gently in circular motion and let it dry. It takes about 10mins or so. Do not let it dry on your face for too long or it will stain your face.

I find it is a very good scrub rather than cleanser. But no issues for me because I always remove my makeup before using a cleanser. It removes all blackheads and whiteheads. However do not scrub too hard if not your face will feel very painful! After scrubbing my face would be slightly red, but after spraying Avene thermal water, it will tone down. My next step would be applying toner and mask.

I would give 4 out of 5. Nice smelling, natural and remove all impurities on your face. Just that the price is not exactly cheap - SGD23 per 100g!

REVIEW: LUSH Happy Blooming

I'm a big fan of Lush and have been using several of their products. Will try to review one by one so that people will know how fabulous their products are *big smile*

Recently I bought a portable bath tub so I can enjoy soaking every once in a while. Not trying this that frequently as I'm afraid I will get a heart attack after receiving the utilities bill. And this week I'm trying bath melt - Happy Blooming

Snap off one cheery segment of Happy Blooming and lay back into the glorious chunks of skin softening cocoa butter, and the scent of sweet cherries, passion fruit, and ylang ylang for a blooming marvelous time in the tub. Planting the seed for this bath melt took a careful eye for perfection. Helen, inventor of our Luxury Bath Melts, tinkered with the formula for many months. She wanted to create a smooth feeling, so she used calamine powder to create a soothing and silky, not greasy effect on the skin. Slip into the tub for happy skin and a cheery outlook.

FEATURES

  • Happy Bath Day! Have a bloomin’ happy day with our cheery cherry and passion fruit soaker.
  • Not just for bug bites: Calamine powder is kind to sensitive skin, and gives water a soft, milky consistency.
  • C’mon get happy: Passionflower oil is sweetly scented and encourages a sense of happiness and calm.
I snap one of the 3 and toss it into my bath tub full of warm water. Stir abit and the water turns pinkish.

The smell is rather mild (as compared to Melting Snowman). There is faint smell of cherry but is much stronger if you smell directly from the melt itself. I kinda disappointed because I prefer stronger smell bath melt. After bathe, my skin is soft and smooth. I don't feel the needs to apply moisturizer because the soak totally moisturize my entire body.

Rating: I would give 3 out of 5. All credits to the wonderful job for making my entire body soft and smooth. But would give higher rating if the smell is slightly stronger
