my biggest win so far!
after making HUGE loss in EUR/USD at the same time (month end) for 2 months, i finally saw the "trend" or rather "tactics" of Euro. Fact is Euro is going down and down, but somehow some "good news" will pop out at month end. Then EUR/USD will go up for a little while before dropping down again.

so month end (check!) trend going down and is going up (check!) EMA 5 cross over EMA 10 (check!). Bought @1.2140, S/L @ 1.2110, T/P @ 1.2220

at first it kinda range abit and get me worried. but i believe Euro will come out same stunt again. And to what I have anticipated, it rose! Again, I have cut my winning trade as it rose to 1.2313! i took +80pips but if i shift my T/P higher when it reach +50pips, i can earn up to +173pips! Anyway +80pips is already my highest earn! I should give myself a pat on the back.

i was updating my win and saw i miss another opportunity in buying EUR/USD! if not, i will make another pile! Drats.... then again, i plan to enjoy my small win over the weekend instead of studying forex. afterall, this is my first win for this week! Confident is back, stick to my strategy, dont ever waver again!

after working with my mini project - hoya kerrii, i have sudden urge to start a garden again! since i have 4 mini african violets now, and 1 of them is full of leaves. hence i thought of buying rooting hormones and start propagating it. then i will have many many mini african violets. i had successfully propagate gloxinia and hopefully mini african violets will be as easy as well.

while i was browsing for information (and monitoring my forex), i chance upon Plant World Seeds. i saw they selling kiwi berry seeds! my favourite and very hard to buy in supermarket! i drop an email to Ray whether kiwi berry is suitable to grow in tropical country and he say that it is suitable. end up, i bought 2 packets (because buy 2 get 1 free!) of kiwi berries, 2 packets of raspberries and 2 packets of strawberries.

now all im doing is wait for them to arrive.. and also need to get jiffy pellets!

I was running my EA on my demo and saw USD/CHF daily chart. I remember Big Pippin has mention USD/CHF in his daily chart art this week. So to confirm, I went to for more information. Big Pippin has pointed out USD/CHF again!

I went back to my hourly chart, new high is already hit and price is dropping. RSI is dropping and there is a downtrend crossover. Perhaps is a good time for me to sell. There is no news so I guess is all up to technical analysis.

Sold @ 0.98632, S/L @ 0.9900, T/P @ 0.9763

(P.S: Please ignore the dash lines as I running some demo trades)

But sadly there is an increase in buy and push the price all way to the top. Even sadder, the price is ranging around there. *HAIZ* Did I make the wrong entry point again? Perhaps I should wait for EMA 5 to crossover EMA 10 before selling? Hopefully all goes well when trade opens on Monday *PRAY!*

work in progress!
is it pretty enough to market?
need more feedback!!!

Sunday, 15 July 2012

went to singapore garden expo by myself and thanks god, is not that crowded. perhaps is already the last day, so most of the people already visited it. my main motive is buy more hoya kerrii. my friend told me that she saw people selling it at reasonable pricing, with nice leaves and painting. i was planning to get 10, but then again, i'm afraid i cant sell all. So i just get 6 at the moment.

that's my 6 little hoya kerrii which i plan to re-package it. i bought mod podge, some heart clip, red wires for my little project. still need to get some tiny pots so that i can work on the fabric pots which i find pretty cool and cute. hopefully with the new package, there will be market value for it =)

i chance upon some mini african violet which i find very adorable! there are so tiny! dean's kitten, little bo peep, irish flirt and "mystery" plant (from top anti clockwise) the seller gave me some discount and a free tiny pot of plant (top right). he did told me the name of the plant, but i didn't manage to get it. anyone have any idea which african violet, please let me know

Reading thru babypips, and saw one of the chart is AUD/USD. Resistance is around 1.25 and have been ranging for few hours. I decide to take a risk since it is already overbought and there is a cross over in slow stochastic.

Sell @ 1.025, S/L @ 1.028, T/P @1.016 (yesterday low)

Unfortunately the price hit my S/L then go down trend again! *EMO* When I get home, my trade is already closed. I should have set my S/L at higher position! To make things worse, next day AUD/USD drop all the way down *CRYZ*

Loss: - 30pips

If I have set a higher S/L position, I would T/P +80 pips by now!

i took a small risk for this one... EMA 5 going to cross over EMA 10.. down trend, CHECK! RSI going now and touching 50.. MACD previous bar is positive, CHECK!

sell @ 0.9798, S/L @ 0.9814 and T/P @ 0.9737

however it didn't drop as much as i hope and have been ranging after awhile, so i decide to close @ 0.9773. profit +25pips

Monday, 9 July 2012

At last i have completed skyrim last week. took me 2 months, which is around 8 weekends to complete! each weekend i spend about 10hrs, so is roughly 80hrs or more! then again, i did not complete all the sides quests, but only most of the faction ones like bards college, college of winterhold, companions, dark brotherhood and thieves guild. not very sure i did complete imperial legion and gives up stormcloaks, but after i join imperial legion and complete a few major tasks. End up having repetitive small quests which eventually i gave up doing. Oh ya, I also find divine & daedric quests interesting, so I completed quite a bit.

Despite many MANY glitches which i find VERY irritating, Skyrim is quite interesting. You can customize your character and I chose Imperial because it seems to be very balanced. After playing for awhile, I kinda regret for not choosing to be Dunmer. I more towards assassin type plus it's the best race to be vampire! Anyway, I have completed one whole chunk of side quests and only first chapter of the main story, I'm not going to replay the whole thing.

For those that is interested in Skyrim, I guess playing via PC is a much wiser choice than PS3. At least you can debug the glitches! Most of the times, PS3 you have to stuck with it, if you cannot get around it.

Fermented squid

after waiting for 1 month, finally able to make my fermented squid
*yummy yummy*
one jar especially for my mummy as she loves seafood too!

Small squid (fresh or frozen) 1 pound 10 oz (750 grams), 5 Tbs salt, fish sauce, hot pepper flakes, green chili pepper, red chili pepper, ginger, garlic, sesame seeds, sesame oil, mulyeot (either corn syrup or rice syrup)
  1. If you buy frozen small squids, thaw them out in the refrigerator.
  2. Clean the squid:
    • Slice right below the triangle of the torso and cut crosswise.
    • Then put your knife right below eyes,  cut crosswise, and discard the eye part.
    • Slit the torso open lengthwise and remove the innards and the plastic looking bone.
    • Put the cleaned squid flesh into a bowl.
    • Repeat this until all squids are cleaned.
  3. Scrub the squid to remove some any bubbles or foam.
  4. Rinse the squid in cold water a couple of times and drain it.
  5. Mix 1 pound 10 oz (750 grams) of squid with ¼ cup salt. Put it into a glass jar and sprinkle another 1 tbs salt on top (total 5 tbs).
*tip: For about 150 grams (5 ounces) of squid you’ll need to use 1 tbs kosher salt (or plain salt)
  6. Press it down to minimize exposure to the air. Close the lid and keep it in the refrigerator for 1 month.
  7. 1 month later, wash, rinse, and strain the fermented squid.
  8. Make seasoning paste. In a large bowl mix:
    • ½ cup hot pepper flakes
    • ½ cup corn syrup (or rice syrup)
    • 1 tbs fish sauce
    • 2 chopped green onions
    • 5 cloves of chopped or sliced garlic
    • 1 tbs chopped ginger
    • 2 chopped green chili peppers
    • 2 chopped red chili peppers
    • 2 tbs roasted sesame seeds
    • 1 tbs sesame oil
  9. Dry the squid with a cotton cloth or paper towels.
  10. Chop the squid into small pieces and put them into the red paste and mix well.
  11. Transfer it into a container or jar and keep it in the refrigerator.
