Review:
I didn't get the whole tub as it is quite expensive. SGD135 for 45g! *Eyes popping out* But the sales gal keep on raving on the product (And I hope the reason is she personally use it and the product works perfectly for her) and eventually able to persuade me to buy one of the gift set with a small tin of Gorgeous.

I used it for 2 weeks or so, and the product is really good. It reduces the redness in my pimples, smoothen my skin and make my face slightly glowly. I love the smell too. I can't really describe the smell. It sometimes like faint waxy honey smell. When I went to visit the doctor for my pimples, I was prescribe some cleanser and gel for my face. Hence I stop using Gorgeous for sometime.

Few weeks back I saw the small tin of Gorgeous and find it is pretty wasteful to throw it away, so I applied it on my bf's face. First week I was just trying to use up the moisturiser and I adore sniffing my bf's face. Second week my bf & I found that his face is slightly glowly as compared to before using Gorgeous. Third week his face is less oily, more glowly and definitely much smoother as compared to before using Gorgeous! We are quite surprized in the improvement of his complexion. Oh ya, my bf's face was on the oily side, dull, manly rough skin and big pores. Just apply once in the evening, after using Lush tea tree toner, and you can also achieve a healthier skin!

I definitely will be buying Gorgeous again once he has finished the small tin. Although the price is quite hefty, it definitely lasts for a pretty long time. Imagine a small tin can last more than 1 month, a 45g tub would last more than 6months! Anyway is my 4th month in my pimple treatment, my pimples are already gone but my cheeks are covered with red marks. I would try to use Gorgeous once I complete my doc prescription.

REVIEW: Lush Dark Angel

Dark Angels is the nemesis of all blemishes, breakouts and blocked pores. Our soft black scrub was conceived when we combined the exfoliating power of Angels on Bare Skin and the sebum balancing abilities of Coal Face. The result? A velvety cleanser, sprinkled with black sugar and powdered charcoal to gently exfoliate and cleanse away excess oils. We add antimicrobial rhassoul mud and vitamin-rich cold pressed organic avocado oil to soften, moisturize and nourish skin, as well as sandalwood and rosewood oils to soothe.

FEATURES
Ideal for young faces: Dark Angels is beneficial for those experiencing excess oil and blemishes.
Scrub me tender: Gently exfoliates away dead skin for a smoother, brighter looking face.
All part of the fun: We recommend using this one in the shower, as it can get quite messy!

Take some of it from the tub

Mixed it with some water to produce a paste

Apply it on your face, scrub it gently in circular motion and let it dry. It takes about 10mins or so. Do not let it dry on your face for too long or it will stain your face.

I find it is a very good scrub rather than cleanser. But no issues for me because I always remove my makeup before using a cleanser. It removes all blackheads and whiteheads. However do not scrub too hard if not your face will feel very painful! After scrubbing my face would be slightly red, but after spraying Avene thermal water, it will tone down. My next step would be applying toner and mask.

I would give 4 out of 5. Nice smelling, natural and remove all impurities on your face. Just that the price is not exactly cheap - SGD23 per 100g!

REVIEW: LUSH Happy Blooming

I'm a big fan of Lush and have been using several of their products. Will try to review one by one so that people will know how fabulous their products are *big smile*

Recently I bought a portable bath tub so I can enjoy soaking every once in a while. Not trying this that frequently as I'm afraid I will get a heart attack after receiving the utilities bill. And this week I'm trying bath melt - Happy Blooming

Snap off one cheery segment of Happy Blooming and lay back into the glorious chunks of skin softening cocoa butter, and the scent of sweet cherries, passion fruit, and ylang ylang for a blooming marvelous time in the tub. Planting the seed for this bath melt took a careful eye for perfection. Helen, inventor of our Luxury Bath Melts, tinkered with the formula for many months. She wanted to create a smooth feeling, so she used calamine powder to create a soothing and silky, not greasy effect on the skin. Slip into the tub for happy skin and a cheery outlook.

FEATURES

  • Happy Bath Day! Have a bloomin’ happy day with our cheery cherry and passion fruit soaker.
  • Not just for bug bites: Calamine powder is kind to sensitive skin, and gives water a soft, milky consistency.
  • C’mon get happy: Passionflower oil is sweetly scented and encourages a sense of happiness and calm.
I snap one of the 3 and toss it into my bath tub full of warm water. Stir abit and the water turns pinkish.

The smell is rather mild (as compared to Melting Snowman). There is faint smell of cherry but is much stronger if you smell directly from the melt itself. I kinda disappointed because I prefer stronger smell bath melt. After bathe, my skin is soft and smooth. I don't feel the needs to apply moisturizer because the soak totally moisturize my entire body.

Rating: I would give 3 out of 5. All credits to the wonderful job for making my entire body soft and smooth. But would give higher rating if the smell is slightly stronger

After few months of not recovering from my massive pimple outbreak, my mum step in for intervention! "Too many pimples on your face, how can you accept it? You are going to see my doctor!" Then off I went to see her doctor at Neuglow. My sister went there, and she insists that it is better than National Skin Center.

As my mum goes to Chinatown branch, so I just tag along with her when she went for her chemical peel. The environment is pretty modern and cozy. You have ample magazine (and there are the latest edition, not some few months old magazine), drinks and brochures (so you can see the latest technologies). While waiting for my turn, I browse thru the brochures and it really amazed me! Now there is "magical" light that you shone on your face, and you get face lift. You do some lazer-ing, your fats can be freeze or liquify. Next thing you know, your fats is gone! I was exclaiming these amazing news while reading, and my mum just turn to her head and roll eyes at me, and mumble "these are old news". Well, she is a regular! Which people would update themselves every now and then regarding aesthetics technology?

After waiting for 15mins, it is my turn to see the doctor. Basically he analysed my skin, understand my diets, environment, and anything that may cause the outbreak. So after analysing, he recommend extraction and blue ray on my face. Then he told me how many session I may need, the frequency between each session and the results i will be getting. Most importantly, how much? He quoted me $80 for each session. As what I practice from my mum, I told him what my mum asked me to and eventually he lower to $50 for each session! You see, my mum is a long time customer so I guess it helps alot for the bargaining.

First session the extraction is quite painful that I teared. The doctor keep apologising and consistently saying he will try to be gentle. But I really have low tolerance for pain. After that, 15mins of blue ray session for each of my poor red cheeks. What amazed me is that after shining the blue ray, my cheeks became less red by 90%! My doctor instructed me to stop using moisturer because the climate in Singapore is not suitable. Toner and sunscreen is sufficient to protect my skin. After I stop using my moisturer, my face turned very dry and more pimples erupted!

1 week later, there is still alot of pimples and my skin started to be very flaky. It is something like sun burnt but not painful. Went back to the doctor again for my weekly appointment, the extraction is EXTREMELY painful! My tears uncontrollably keep flowing and basically I think I cried the whole procedure. Beside wiping the blood or whatever residual the doctor extract off my face, she is also busy wiping my tears. I really have low tolerance for pain.

Subsequently, the flakes dropped off. The pimples died off. I have some pimples here and there, but alot of red marks on my face. The extraction is still very painful, but not as painful as previously. I guess the number of pimples help. Lesser pimples = lesser extraction. My colleagues and friends told me my face has greatly improved from the past few weeks,

So did I manage to cure my pimples? As you can see from the photo, most of it is the red marks with a few red pimples left. It is a great improvement. Imagine all the red marks is big bumps pimples previously. So I guess I still have to continue my blue ray treatment then need to get rid of the red marks.
